Do you ever feel as though you’re running on empty? That despite your best efforts, you seem stuck somehow?
I’ve felt this way, a time or two—if I’m being honest with myself. I’m sure we all have in some capacity, and it’s normal.
Yes, it’s normal to feel stuck at times. In my opinion, it keeps us humble and gives us the courage to push forth.
Rushing anything has never been a good idea. Not relationships, impulse buying, finishing a book, or taking our careers to the next level.
It’s a process. A slow one if we are operating within our purpose. The only thing that happens overnight is a good sleep, and even that isn’t rushed.
Anything worth attaining takes time.
Here are four helpful tips to consider when feeling rushed:
1. Slow down: It takes time to achieve greatness. And please know that you are not the only one experiencing this. Remember, if it comes too quickly it will leave even quicker than that.
2. Give yourself compassion: Life is hard. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Be patient and enjoy the journey. It’s worth it in the end.
3. Don’t measure your success by the level of someone else’s: You don’t know what it took to gain it or maintain it.
4. Change your mindset. We are what we think, so be careful about what you feed your thoughts. Think with intention.
Please accept that you are right where you should be. Through hard work, dedication, and consistency, we can all accomplish the things that hold priority in our lives.
