Ain’t No Fun When the Rabbit Got the Gun

Hey, Y’all!

Happy Talk About It Tuesday.

We’ve all watched Looney Tunes, the cartoon where the hunter becomes the prey. Nothing seems to work for him, so he gets frustrated or distracted, leaving opportunities for self-sabotage.

What’s happens?

The rabbit gets the advantage, saving itself in the process.

Life can be this way at times, catching us off guard, tripping us up, pushing us against the wall, throwing us curveballs—the fast kind.

It feels like we cannot catch a break. Yet, something inside us rises to the challenge. We get our second wind and decide to fight back.

We become the rabbit, refusing to go out like that; becoming someone’s next meal. We realize that taking control of whatever situation we find ourselves in is the only way to survive and live to fight another day.

Yes, there will be times we want to give up but need to fight back. Sure, we will find ourselves feeling helpless. That doesn’t mean, be defeated. No, it’s the complete opposite.

When we learn when to and how to take control of our lives, we discover how courageous we are. How strong we are. How much of a fighter we are.

Nothing feels impossible to overcome. Our mindset changes. We grow and evolve into the person we are meant to be. We stand and defend ourselves and what’s important to us.

I say this to you as well as myself, today.

Stop settling!

Stop being afraid!

Don’t allow anyone or anything that much power over you to make you throw in the towel and give up hope.

Cut your losses. Discover your purpose. Focus on what matters most to you. Embrace new things. Be open to meeting new people. Put in the work. Smile. Laugh. Dance. Love. Live. Take the ‘gun’ silly rabbit because don’t you know that tricks are for kids!

Thanks for Kickin’ It With KeKe!

Until next time remember that when you stay ready, there’s no need to get ready.
